A compact woodland retreat with a sheltered terrace. Silver-grey timber, a pale facade frame and soft olive accents give the simple form a calm, welcoming character.
A quiet colour. A distinct character.
The pale outer frame traces the pitched roof and encloses the entrance terrace. Within it, grey timber brings out the depth of the recess and the grain of the boards. The same finish continues across the rear gable, keeping the house coherent from every angle.
Natural-toned decking, light upholstery and olive cushions soften the composition. Expansive glazing connects the room to the trees; the terrace provides a sheltered place to sit between the interior and the clearing.
A clear layout for a small space.
The kitchen runs along the rear wall. Beside it sits the bathroom with a shower; its angled entrance leaves more room for circulation. Storage is arranged along the opposite side of the main room.
A sofa and a table for two occupy the space beside the glazed facade. The door opens onto the covered terrace, where a small outdoor sofa and table extend the seating area. The entrance remains clear.
A place to pause along the woodland path.
The house opens towards the clearing, with its sheltered seating turned towards the surrounding landscape. The side opening brings light and a second view into the terrace, while the solid side wall gives it a more intimate feel.
Warm light against grey timber.
At dusk, soft light from the room and discreet fixtures beneath the roof make the entrance easy to read. The grey cladding retains its texture, while the pale frame catches the last daylight.
