Wings of Memory
A place where memory becomes part of everyday life.
Memory with room for life alongside it.
An aircraft on a pedestal, surrounded by unused space, is the starting point for this project. We propose turning the area around the memorial into a park people want to visit on an ordinary day.
Winding paths let visitors choose their own route. Benches and light pergolas offer places to pause, talk or simply sit among the trees. History remains at the heart of the place, with everyday life unfolding around it.
Walk. Pause. Gather.
Light concrete, warm wood, shaded pergolas and planting along the paths. A leisurely walking route connects the different parts of the park.
A landscape to linger in.
Stepping stones through the grass, sculptural timber benches, swings under the trees and flowering paths. Each part of the park offers its own reason to pause.
One park. Different rhythms.
The open square around the aircraft leads into a network of paths and intimate places to rest. Circular spaces, planting beds and pergolas bring the park together as one composition.
